About us

The Liliána guesthouse is a small village in Terény, in the heart of a picturesque valley nestling between the slopes of the Cserhát Mountains.

Terény is a village hidden in the valley of the Szanda stream, with a large number of well-preserved cottages built in the style typical of the Nógrád peasant tradition. The village has several museums and exhibition sites, but it is also a popular destination for hikers, as it is on the route of the National Blue Trail.

Our apartment houses

The Liliána guest houses are completely independent, authentic, protected slate houses built over 100 years ago using traditional adobe technology, with their own courtyard, garden and car parking. Our renovation was not necessarily about luxury and maximum comfort, but about preserving the traditional features and giving an insight into the living conditions of our ancestors.

We have tried to create all of this, with a hint of comfort but maintaining a balance, to ensure that the minimum requirements of our days and the need for a great rest, a little wellness and active relaxation are met.

"The house is very nice, the interior has been tastefully renovated, yet the original character of the house has been preserved, the garden has been carefully maintained. Very well equipped in all rooms. The bathroom has several soaps and towels, the kitchen has everything you need for cooking and baking, the bed is very comfortable. The barbecue in the garden could grill a whole family at once, it was also very nicely cleaned which we were especially pleased about. The jacuzzi and its surroundings were also clean and tidy, everything worked perfectly. Coffee and water were provided, but if we had a garden they would have provided it as an extra. :) The small shop is about 5 minutes walk, with a very good stock. We had a great time and not only the house and the jacuzzi, but also the hospitality of the owners contributed to this. We always go elsewhere but we would love to return here again! We can only recommend it!"
